Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)






The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) was formed in 1908 with employees estimated as 30,847 (June 30, 2008).
The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) has investigative jurisdiction against violations of more than 200 divisions of federal crime. Federal Bureau of Investigation is an organization against crime that serves United States of America's Justice Department it also works as both a federal criminal investigative agency and an internal intelligence body. .






The motto of Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) is "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity", equals FBI initials. The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) Official headquarters, the J. Edgar Hoover Building, is located in Washington, D.C..



There are nearly Fifty-six field offices located in major cities all over United States of america and also there are over 400 resident agencies in smaller cities and towns across United States of america. More than 50 international offices called "legal attachés" are in U.S. embassies worldwide.





Currently, the FBI's top investigative priorities are:

1: Protect the United States from terrorist attack

2:Protect the United States against foreign intelligence operations and espionage

3:Protect the United States against cyber-based attacks and high-technology crimes

4:Combat public corruption at all levels;Protect civil rights;Combat transnational/national
criminal organizations and enterprises

5:Combat major white-collar crime;

6:Combat significant violent crime;

7:Upgrade technology for successful performance of the FBI's mission.
