Central Intelligence Agency

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was funded in 1947 by signing of the National Security Act by former President Harry S. Truman(April 12, 1945 – January 20, 1953). This is also used to create a Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) to serve as head of the United States intelligence community, This is used as a principal adviser to the President for intelligence matters related to the national security of states; and formed to serve as head of the Central Intelligence Agency. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 amended the National Security Act to provide for a Director of National Intelligence who would assume some of the roles formerly fulfilled by the DCI, with a separate Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Present director general of CIA is Leon E. Panetta assumed office February 13, 2009

Collecting information from appropriate human sources and acting according to that

Correlating and evaluating intelligence relating with national security and to give appropriate

dissemination of such intelligence at right time
